Welcome to the World Ford T5 Registry
The first global registry dedicated to the Ford T5 - the German-market Mustang built between 1965 and 1979
The Ford T5 World Registry is not affiliated with the Ford Motor Company.
What Is a Ford T5?
The official name given to the Ford Mustang sold in West Germany from 1965–1979. Ford renamed it to avoid a trademark conflict with Krupp, a German truck manufacturer, who held the 'Mustang' name in Germany."
Why a Registry?
These cars are rare, scattered across continents, and often misidentified. The registry exists to document, preserve, and connect every surviving T5 in the world.

By the numbers
T5 — A Historical Footnote with Horsepower
- 3,208 Verified Units Between 1967 and 1973, exactly 3,208 T5 models were produced.
- The Name Change The T5 badge replaced 'Mustang' on fenders to comply with German trademark law.
- Identical DNA T5s were identical to US-spec Mustangs except for the T5 fender badges and German documentation.
- A Fraction of Exports T5 production is a breakdown of total export production, not an addition to it. During this seven-year span, T5s made up roughly 8.9% of all exported Mustangs and a mere 0.19% of total production.
